- No. You must inform the rental company where you will be driving to. One way rental has a fee attached to it.
Do I need a 4x4 to travel through South Africa?
- No, but it is recommended for all countries outside of South Africa.
How old do I have to be, if I want to purchase a car at Drive Southern Africa?
- It depends on the car you select. But generally you must have had your drivers for 2 years, and be a min age of 19.
Who is responsible for any damages to the vehicle?
- The vehicle has to be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered. Fair wear and tear will be accepted.
The client is responsible for any damage from accidents or carelessness. You have insurance on the car. You can choose
from standard cover and super cover. Standard cover means that your accident/theft excess is higher, and super cover means that its is less.
What happens, if I want to drop off the car earlier than agreed?
- You will get back the difference in the mark down for the remaining period.
How are the 4x4s equipped? and what is the petrol consumption?
- They are equipped with a roof tent, 55-liter water tank, 140-liter petrol tank, spare tyre
- You can rent additional Equipment from Drive Southern Africa.
- The petrol consumption of petrol 4x4's is between 15 and 20 litre for each 100 km and of diesel 4x4 between 12 und 17 litres
- All cooking equipment, blankets etc.
- All you need is your bag!
